Nagaland is a considerably unexplored holiday destination as compared to the rest of the country. However, those who have made it vouch for its natural beauty and mesmerising sights. Among other things, most parts of northeast India are known for the amazing roads and the landscapes they take you through. In fact, a motorbike ride across the north-eastern states is on the bucket list of almost every biking enthusiast in India
The route :
Guwahati – Dimapur – Kohima – Guwahati.
This motorcycle trip covers the following :
1) The Hornbill Festival
The Hornbill festival is a celebration held every year in the first week of December, in Nagaland, North-east India. It is also called as the ‘Festival of Festivals‘.
2) Trek to Dzouko valley ( optional)
Dzukou valley or Dzukoi Valley. It is a popular hiking and trekking destination. Lying on the border of Nagaland and Manipur, it is located about 2438 mts above sea level. The valley is known for its lush greenery, pristine mountain air, untouched natural surrounding and beautiful flowers. It is also home to the rare Dzukoi lily.
Who can join this Motorcycle Trip?
All enthusiastic beginners can join this ride , yes you should know how to ride a bike or sit behind as a pillion. This is an easy grade ride with occasional stops for tea !!. Obviously you should possess a driving licence.
What about motorcycles , do we have to bring our own ??
You are most welcome to bring in your own bike, but if you dont wish to ,then we can help you hire one from Guwahati itself.
At present we can provide a 350 cc Enfield Bullet classic @Rs.1500/- per day without fuel. No deposits.
Day 1 - Reach Guwahati in the morning
Day 2 - Dimapur - Kohima
- Wakeup early for a ride to Kohima.
- Visit Hornbill festival
- Enjoy the night in Kohima.
- Ride –70 km
Day 3 - Optional trek day to Dzouko valley
Day 4- Dimapur to Guwahati
