More Dreams. More Life. More Ladakh
In comparison to other parts of the Himalayas, Ladakh
has relatively few trekkers. The region is often called
'Little Tibet' and because it is located north of the
main Himalayan range, it receives little rainfall. The
scenery is stark and dramatic: deep gorges, alluvial
fans, contorted strata, large Tibetan Buddhist monasteries,
flat-topped mud-brick houses in oasis-like villages,
snow-capped mountains and grand distances.
The way of life in Ladakh shows us that another way
of life -- a kinder and gentler one -- is possible.

Cultural Trek' & 'Glimpses of Bhutan' excursion trip
Bhutan, land of the Thunder Dragon,
is the most mysterious and unknown of all the Himalayan

the Himalaya, and for centuries forbidden to foreigners,
this Buddhist kingdom has succeeded in preserving its
timeless traditions and ancestral way of life
Life Away from Life will be organizing
tailored trips to Bhutan both starting from the
month of May 2008. Both are escorted trips and
are planned to bring people with similar interests and
tastes together. More

"It
was quite an adventure. The most important lesson i learnt
about trekking is that we learn to overcome fears and
blocks that we build in us."
- Maansi - Business
|
"I
think trekking comes in as a blessing in disguise in many
ways. You not only enjoy the adventure far away from your
routine & mundane life but also get an opportunity
to make good friends coming from varied fields but sharing
a common passion. It was a gr8 learning experience for
me & i came home fully satisfied & rejuvenated."
- Santosh - Business |
"Suddenly
city life, traffic, all that honking, and superficial
banter seems unnatural to the system. The weekend experience
has left an indelible mark on the soul and I'm thankful
to all of you and your wonderful energies for making this
such a memorable trip." - Apurva
-Film maker |
"Thank
you, for providing us with a chance to experience ...
a serendipitous journey! No one would have imagined that
it would turn out the way it did, and then have our apprehensions
whisked away by a crazy mix of incidents/ characters and
emotions! It was an amazing trip, one that will be hard
to forget." - Smriti
- PR Executive |

The
Hidden Wonder Of the World
The Concept
We all know about the Taj Mahal,
the Palaces of Jaipur, the beaches of Goa
and the Himalayas in India, but very few know
about the hidden wonders. Around 400 years
old, these architectural marvels still exist,
hidden in the embracing folds of the Sahyadri
Hill range in the Indian Sub-continent, providing
Journeys that would otherwise escape the notice
of the adventure seeker coming to India.
These fascinating remains still provide evidence,
of not only man's expression of power, or
the privilege of his ruler but also their
constant sense of threat, their helplessness
and the inborn need to protect themselves
as well as to maintain their freedom.

CHILDRENS CAMP ADVENTURE
“A
sound mind within a sound body is what we would absolutely agree
to. CAMP ADVENTURE was a back-to-basics camp for children, away
from suffocating confines of a schoolroom … away from the
millennium bug, text messaging, television cartoons, dust, traffic-noise
and air pollution.
This camp was held at a beautiful countryside of Pune,
200 kms away from Mumbai, near village Velhe, (50kms from Pune),
sitting on the banks of Taal Lake, which itself is a tribute to
nature’s inimitable beauty.

"COORG MEMORIES"
Coorg is not for people to collect
souvenirs or sightseeing because the place is to be seen and felt.
Coorg trip Dec 2007
Being a regular trekker climbing up to me means unshackling
all that is built within me mentally / physically....and thus on
the top one feels so light. So undoubtedly climbing the highest
peak of Tadiandamol had more to do with me than just trek.

"My
2 cents"
Ladakh is meant to be experienced and not merely
seen .
Ladakh trip August 2007
Ladakh was all that and so much more.
I came away humbled, by the simple Indian Army soldiers along the
way, by the Khardung La pass, by the grandeur of the mountains,
by the Milky Way. And so much richer by the experience and the friends
I made. This trip is among my most cherished, magical in every sense
of the word.

"but
on that mountain, when I was 3300 ft away from the ground. I felt
more real & grounded than i've felt... "
Anjaneri Trek , Nasik , Maharashtra.Sept-Oct 2007
It was one of the most real experiences i've ever had.
Its so funny, we live in a big world with so many people, all so
caught up with themselves that its easy to put on a mask and fool
everyone around you.. and eventually yourself.
I am one of those people.. but on that mountain.. when I was 3300
feet away from the ground. I felt more real and grounded than i
have ever felt. I could see myself for who i was and not who i wanted
to be. I could see my fears staring at me in the face, and had two
choices. Face them or hide. There was no pressure to do either.
It was completely my choice. What a great space!

"The
biggest thing we took back were only our memories from Druk Yul"
Gangtey trek in Bhutan on 5th March 2007
Bhutan seems to exist in a different time; people seem so calm and
serene. The roads are clean, the shops are barely inhabited, the
villages are sparsely distributed and the children are eager to
wave at every tourist who passes them. The experience was indeed
"life away from life."
