Photography
expedition to Bundi , Rajasthan. Life Away from Life plans an exclusive heritage trip to Bundi (in Rajasthan) for all aspiring-amateur photographers interested in experimental Travel Photography. Bundi is one of the unexplored cities with a rich historical wealth. A captivating small town with narrow lanes of Brahmin-blue houses, lakes, hills, bazaars, and a temple with beautiful stone idols at every turn, Bundi is loomed over by a fantastical palace, havelis, a faded-parchment mass of cupolas and loggias, chattris with carved pillars rising from a mighty fortress that’s mounted on a crag. It is of particular
architectural note for its ornate forts, palaces, and step-well reservoirs
known as Baoris. Very famous for its intricate carvings and murals, Bundi
continues to be a place where life is largely untouched by the outside
world. In fact, even today, Bundi is one place in Rajasthan that has a
delightfully medieval flavour . So all interested individuals simply grab your cameras (professional camera not required) and get the best opportunity to capture different aspects of life in different forms and moods! We would travel into the realms of life capturing moments that finally make a good photograph. Let us explore more
about photography through informal discussions and practical experimentation
during this unique workshop in Bundi, Rajasthan. |

ABOUT BUNDI 36 km from Kota is a tiny Picturesque town, Bundi. One of the unexplored cities with a rich historical wealth. Once a part of Kota, it was ruled by the Had Chauhans- an offshoots of the famous Chauhan clan who ruled Delhi and Ajmer. In
1193 A.D. when Prithviraj Chauhan was defeated by Sultan Mohammed Ghauri,
some Chauhan nobles seeked shelter in Mewar and became allies to the Rana
while other young warriors move towards the Chambal valley and overpowered
the Meena and Bhil tribals-thus establishing their own kingdom of Hadoti.
Later, two branches of Hadas formed two separates states of Kota and Bundi,
on either side of the river Chambal.
